Primary Election March 3, 2026 | Early Voting Feb 12-Feb 28
Great schools start with great teachers, who deserve to be paid like the professionals they are.
As a former teacher, Ebony Burnett understands the passion, planning, and personal sacrifice that go into educating and caring for students. She also knows the cost of neglect: underpaid and overworked teachers face burnout and leave the profession, widening learning gaps for our children.
If we’re serious about recruiting and retaining top-tier educators, our policies and our budgets must reflect that respect.
Ebony has been a vocal advocate for increased teacher pay, standing before county commissioners and fighting for the value of our educators. She won’t stop until teachers are treated and compensated like the essential professionals they are.
Ebony believes we should:
Advocate for competitive, livable wages for all teachers and school staff
Push for consistent raises that reflect rising costs and professional demands
Support policies that reduce burnout and improve work-life balance for educators
Elevate teacher voices in decisions that affect classrooms and compensation
